CGW 40k Summer Tournament 2014

Nesse fim de semana fui pra Canoas participar do Torneio de Verão do Clube Gaucho de Wargames. Saí da minha cidade no sabado, bem cedinho, e dirigi as 3 horas para chegar no local do evento. Parei no caminho pra comprar umas cucas alemãs e umas cervejas artesanais pra dar para o pessoal de São Paulo.


On this weekend i went to Canoas, to take part in the Gaucho's Wargaming Club 40k Summer Tournament. I left my town on Saturday, very early, and drove 3 hours to get to the tounament place. I stopped in the way to buy Cucas (a german style cake) and craft beers to give to the guys from São Paulo.


Cheguei logo após o meio dia, as mesas ja estavam montadas, e o sorteio das mesas e dos oponentes foram realizados. Nesse torneio seriam jogadas 4 partidas, 2 no sabado e 2 no domingo. O Streem fez a cobertura do torneio para o seu canal do Youtube, o Reload.


I arrived shortly after noon, the tables were already assembled, and the draw of tables and opponents were performed. In this tournament there will be four matches, two in the saturdays and the last two on sunday. Streem made the tournament coverage for his youtube channel, Reload Wargaming


Joguei a primeira partida contra o Bitten e seus Space Wolves. Ganhei por uma margem, e os Farseers salvaram o dia. A segunda partida foi contra o Ismael e seus Grey Knights, perdi mediocremente, cometi varios erros de tatica que me comprometeram a pontuação. A noite fomos em um Irish PUB em Porto Alegre, tomar algumas cervejas Guiness e jogar papo fora.


Played the first match against Bitten and his Space Wolves. I won by a margin, and the Farseers saved the day. The second match was against Ismael and his Grey Knights, i lost badly, made many tactical mistakes that compromised my score. At night we were into an Irish Pub in Porto Alegre, drink some Guiness beers and chat.


Era cedo quando fomos para a casa do Monty, onde o torneio foi realizado, e iniciamos a 3a partida do torneio. Joguei contra o Fred e seus Dark Angels, a partida foi dificil mas o Fred acabou ganhando.
Fomos almoçar um xis, e depois do almoço jogamos a ultima partida. Joguei contra o Streem e seus Salamanders, a partida também foi bastante disputada, mas novamente cometi alguns erros que me custaram a partida.


It was early when we went to Monty's home, where the tournament was held and started the 3rd match. Played against Fred and his Dark Angels, it was a difficult match but Fred won. After this match we went to lunch Xis (a kind of hamburger), and after that we played the last match. I played against Streem and his Salamanders, another tought match, and again i made some badly tactical mistakes that cost me the battle.


Terminamos de jogar as 17:00 do domingo,  realizamos o torneio de pintura e expomos os exércitos pintados. O Monty anunciou o resultado, O Phan ganhou como melhor general, Streem como campeão geral e eu como melhor pintura! Fiquei em ultimo lugar nos jogos, mas mesmo assim, o torneio estava muito divertido! Até o próximo, que provavelmente vai ser um torneio de Infinity.


We stopped playing at 17:00hrs on Sunday, me made the painting contest and showcased the painted armys. Monty announced the result, Phan won best general, Streem won tournament champion and I won best painted army! I placed last in the games, but the tournament was very funny!

Wh40k Objective Markers

Eu fiz esses marcadores de objetivos para serem usados do Torneio de Verão, que vai ocorrer nesse fim de semana em Canoas. Foi utilizado bits de gundam e materiais odontologicos, e pintados com aerografo.

I made those objective markers that will be used in the Summer Tournament that will be happening in this weekend. I used Gundam bits and dental materials to make those, and i painted using the airbrush.

Aproveitei uma folga que eu tive hoje de manhã e finalizei esses terrenos. Queria acrescentar umas propagandas imperiais e umas pichações nesses predios. Também pintei alguns corpos de alguns soldados desafortunados que estao espalhados nesse campo de batalha.

I had a break this morning and i used this time to finish those terrains. I glued some imperial propaganda and some graffiti on those buildings. I also painted the bodies of some unfortunate soldiers that are scattered over the battlefield.

Estou quase finalizando esses terrenos que serão usados no nosso torneio de verão! Falta apenas pintar alguns props e utilizar o verniz.

Those terrains are almost finished, they will be used in our summer tournament! I just need to paint some props and spray the varnish.

P: Estou trabalhando nesses terrenos do clube, que vão ser utilizados no torneio de verão desse ano. Os terrenos são da Amera, foram montados pelo pessoal de Canoas e enviados para eu pintar. Incrementei a texturização e adicionei alguns props.

E: Im working in our gaming club terrain, that will be used on the summer tournament of this year. The terrains are from Amera, the guys at Canoas assembled them and sendt it to me to paint. I boosted the texturing and added some props.

P: Para essa texturização, eu utilizei massa corrida, cascalho fino, sprues, e areia fina. O cascalho fino dá um aspecto bem realista a texturização. Depois da massa corrida secar, eu selei o material com uma camada de cola branca diluida em agua.

E: For the texturing, i used acrilic gesso, fine gravel, sprues and fine sand. The gravel give a realistic aspect to the ruins. After the acrilic gesso dry, i sealed the material with a coat of PVA glue duluted in water.

P: Olá a todos! Vamos começar o ano com uma pequena modificações no blog. Os textos irao ser bilingues, em ingles e portugues!

E: Last year, again, i didn't made my goal to paint one hundred miniatures in a year. I painted a little less than 2012, but, i finnaly painted all my Eldar collection for warhammer 40k, one less thing to worry about.

P: Ano passado, novamente, não consegui chegar na minha meta de cem miniaturas pintadas em um ano. Pintei um pouco menos do que o ano retrasado, mas  finalmente consegui terminar minha coleção de Eldar, do Warhammer 40k, agora é uma preocupação a menos!

E: And to start the year well, I went to play with Ricieri and with Luiz Felipe there in Santa Cruz a match of confrontation, and after this, a match of a new boardgame.

P: E pra começar bem o ano e aproveitando as férias do pessoal,fui jogar com o Ricieri e com o Luiz Felipe la em Santa Cruz. Jogamos confrontation e depois uma partida de um boardgame que o Rici quis estrear.
