Ontem apoveitei o domingo para fazer quase toda a pintura com o aerografo no Mawloc. Consegui pintar a pele e a carapaça, mas ainda falta as armas, que pretendo fazer hoje a noite. Depois disso, os outros detalhes vão ser no pincel.

Yesterday I took the sunday to paint all the parts that i needed to use the airbrush, on the Mawloc model. I made all the skin and the carapace, but i need to paint the weapons, that i will do tonight. After that, ill go back to the paintbrushes.

Magnetizing a Tyranid Warrior (6th edition kit) - ENG

I have aquired the new tyranid kit, and they come with the option to assemble the tyranid prime, and also come with all the options of weapons and upgrades available to this unit. My idea is to assemble 3 warriors, but not the prime, but it is a model that deserve some attention and also is a interesting HQ option.

Another thing that made me magnetize this kit was the colse combat weapons options. Now I can choose whatever weapon for each model in the unit, like the excelent option to use the rending claws. I will not magnetise the schiting talons, this is a poor option for this unit. Two warriors will receive the magnets only for the close combat weapon, while the other one will be fully magnetized.

SO here we go, firts i removed all the pieces from the sprue and cleaned it from theyr mold lines. I assembles the legs and torso. The weapons where cleaned too.

For the magnetization I used two drills and the pin vise. The drills where 3mm and 1,5mm and the magnets where 3x2mm and 1,5x1mm

The first magnet where inserted at the figure waist, using the 3mm drill and gluing the respective magnet. In the arm socket, where glued the 3mm  magnets. In the lower arm socket, must be careful to keep a distance from the waist magnet, in the upper arm socket must be careful to not drill in the figure neck área.

The magnet north must be keep standard, so the pieces will be interchangeable.

In the arms, the 1,5mm magnets where used. To keep them properly fix, its good to keep the magnes straighter as possible and with the maximum contact between them. It’s a good thing to try the assemble before drilling the magnet hole.

After the magnetization, the model will be sturdy. You can move the figure pushing it by the torso without problems, but if you have a bigger magnet, its good to use at the waist-torso socket . I magnetized just one leg to use as a warrior/prime and all the respective arms sockets, and the most used weapons from the kit. You can magnetize all the kit without much problem.

With the kit magnetized, i have the option to swap all the close combat weapons, as well as using the Tyrant Prime.

Olá!

Adquiri esse kit novo dos tyranid warriors, e eles vem com a opção de montar um tyranid prime, além de vir com todas as opções de armas e upgrades disponiveis para essa unidade. A minha idéia era montar apenas os 3 warriors comuns mas o prime é uma miniatura que merece um pouco de atenção, além de ser uma opção interessante de HQ.

Outra coisa que me fez magnetizar foi a opção das armas de close combat. Agora posso optar em trocar as bone swords por rending claws. Não vou magnetizar as sciting talons por ser uma opção muito pobre para essa unidade. Os dois warriors serao magnetizados apenas as armas de combate corpo a corpo, e um deles será completamente magnetizado.

Entao aqui vamos nós, primeiro removi todas as peças do sprue e removi as linhas de molde. Montei algumas partes da figura, no caso pernas e torso. As armas também foram preparadas.

Para a magnetização utilizei duas brocas e o pin vise. As brocas foram de 3mm e 1,5mm, e os respectivos imas de 3x2mm e 1,5x1mm.

O primeiro ima foi colocado na cintura da figura, utilizando a broca de 3mm e colando o respectivo ima. Nos encaixes dos braços, também foram colocados imas de 3mm. No encaixe dos braços inferiores, deve-se tomar cuidado pra manter uma distancia do ima da cintura, nos braços superiores deve-se tomar cuidado para não perfurar até o encaixe do pescoço da figura.

Deve-se cuidar o norte dos imas, e deve-se manter um padrão para que se possa trocar as armas. O norte dos imas ficou todos em direção da direita para a esquerda.

Os braços foram utilizados os umas de 1,5mm. Para mante-los com uma boa fixação, deve-se manter os imas em um encaixe o mais reto possível e em máximo contato um com o outro. O posicionamento do braço depende onde o ima é posicionado, entao é sempre uma boa ensaiar a posição antes de fazer o encaixe do ima.

Depois de pronto o modelo fica bem firme. Voce pode movimentar ele pelo torso sem risco de desencaixar todo ele. Caso voce possuir algum ima maior, é uma boa idéia utilizer ele para fazer o encaixe pernas-torso. Eu magnetizei apenas as armas que eu vou utilizar mais frequentemente, mas com um pouco mais de tempo se consegue magnetizar todo o kit.

Com isso eu tenho a opção de trocar as armas de combate corporal, as armas de longo alcance de um dos warriors, bem como a opção de utilizar o tyranid prime.

Jogatina dos Vales (Wargaming Weekend)

No fim de semana do dia 28 de junho, conseguimos finalmente nos reunir em Santa Cruz do Sul para jogarmos. O pessoal da capital raramente sai de lá, tirando o Monty e o Fred que ja vieram pra esses lados. Recebemos também a visita do Sr Enéas do nosso clube parceiro CPW, que aproveitou uma folga no trabalho para viajar para cá.

Alguns de nós (eu, Alex e Eneas) nos encontramos já na sexta-feira, o resto do pessoal chegou no sábado. O local dos jogos foi na casa do Sr Baldo. Organiamos as mesas pela manhã e ja iniciamos os jogos.

Jogamos 40k, Infinity, Blood Bowl e Dreadzone. Tivemos uma pausa para ver o jogo do Brasil, e para o almoço, que foi um churrasco feito pelos pais do Sr Baldo. Seguimos jogando até a madrugada.

Retomamos os jogos no dia seguinte, e o pessoal foi dispersando por volta das 17hrs.

O Encontro foi bastante proveitoso, o espaço que o Sr Baldo no cedeu estava bem legal, e a recepção dos pais dele foi muito bacana! Espero que logo organizemos o proximo!

In the 28th June, we finaly organized a meeting in Santa Cruz do Sul to play wargames. The guys from our state capital rarely travel to this region, and they did it! We received the visit of Mr Eneas, from our partner gaming club CPW.

Some of us arrived at friday, the other ones arrived saturday in the morning, the place of the games where at Mr Baldo's House. The tables where organized by the morning and we started playing!

The games that where played was 40k, Infinity, Blood Bowl and Dreadzone. There was a pause for us to watch the Brazilian Soccer game and for having lunch made by Baldo's parents, a sausage barbecue.

The meeting was very fun, the space that Mr Baldo provided was amazing, and their parents received us very kindly! I hope to organize another one very soon!
